How Involved Are You?

Scott Jarvis is an Internet veteran with fifteen years of experience under his belt. Through the years he has worked for company's who set up websites for their clients and then assist these same clients with changes to their website and offering up tips on how to make their sites perform better within the search engines.

Now a member of the Cal Coast Web Design team, Scott continues to see one issue that keeps websites from becoming top performing websites. "Most website owners are content paying a company to set up a product or service for them and then they sit back and wait for results." This is one of the single biggest mistakes a website owner can make, especially when dealing with Search Engine Optimization.

You'll want to remember that the more you get involved with your website and the more proactive you are with it the better your chances are you'll see great results. Below are things you can do as Cal Coast Clients to stay involved.

1. Devote a few minutes each day to your website looking it over and right down any questions, concerns, and changes you may have and then communicate them to your web designer.

2. Blog about your website as often as possible. All Cal Coast clients have blogs assigned to them when they begin their relationship with us. Blogging is an excellent way to get your keywords exposed to the search engines.

3. Check your web reports a few times a month to see how your website is performing within the search engines. Communicate any concerns and questions you may have to the Cal Coast support staff.

4. Continue to think of and add new content to your website. Content is still "king" as far as the search engines are concerned so adding new information to your website always helps your ranking!

Any questions about these tips should be communicated to the Cal Coast team here!
